Sensational reports and police statements unveil a distressing discovery in Cross Roads, St. Andrew, on the morning of March 20, 2024, where an unidentified male’s lifeless body was found following a series of loud explosions.
The harrowing incident evidently transpired after 6:00 a.m. at a junction of Cross Roads and Half-Way Tree Road in St. Andrew.
Witnesses waiting for transportation were startled by the piercing sounds of explosions and the screeching of tires as a vehicle hastily departed the area. Subsequently, they were met with the grim sight of a man afflicted by gunshot wounds.
Swift actions by compassionate individuals led to his transportation to a nearby medical facility, where he was tragically pronounced deceased by the authorities.
Investigations into the shooting are underway by detectives in the St. Andrew Central Division.

According to news reports, detectives assigned to the St Catherine North Police Division arrested and charged an ancillary worker of an educational institution with breaches under the Offenses Against the Person Act after he allegedly sexually assaulted two students.
According to the police report, early in February 2024, the worker allegedly lured the two female students to his home with the promise of a monetary reward of $40,000.

The authorities contacted the police after they learned about the accused man’s actions.
The police picked him up, and they subsequently charged him with two counts of having carnal knowledge with a person under the age of sixteen.

Two individuals were shot while being pursued by an armed assailant in Westmoreland.
WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – On Tuesday night, March 19, 2024, two men were left seriously injured after being targeted by assailants while traveling on a motorcycle in Sheffield, Westmoreland.
According to the police report, at approximately 9:45 p.m., one of the individuals was riding a black Comrade motorcycle westward on the Sheffield main road with another man as the passenger. Upon reaching a certain section of the road, two men on another motorcycle attacked them.
The passenger on the second motorcycle brandished a firearm and demanded the driver of the Comrade to stop and surrender the motorcycle.
In fear for their lives, the driver of the Comrade accelerated, initiating a pursuit during which the gunman fired shots at the two individuals.
The driver of the Comrade continued to flee as the assailants pursued them while shooting.
Subsequently, the passenger on the Comrade fell from the motorcycle, but the driver managed to escape and seek refuge in a nearby yard, where they contacted the police.
Upon the police’s arrival, the officers discovered the driver of the Comrade with apparent gunshot wounds to his back. The other individual was found some distance away, lying on the roadway, also with what appeared to be gunshot wounds to his back and groin.
The police promptly transported both injured men to the hospital, where they were admitted for treatment.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into this regrettable incident.
