Hoodlums Shoot Woman Over 40 Times at Her Business Establishment in Westmoreland
A woman was tragically shot over 40 times at her business establishment in Darliston, Westmoreland, on Thursday night, March 14, 2024. The deceased, identified as Suddean Hylton, also known as ‘Piinky,’ aged 32, she was a resident of the New Roads community in Darliston, Westmoreland.
The police reported that the incident occurred around 3:45 pm at Lee and Chin Fashion Black Clothes Store in New Roads, Darliston, Westmoreland. According to reports, three armed men approached Hylton and opened fire, striking her multiple times. The gunmen then fled in a white Toyota Axio motorcar toward Bethel Town.
Following the shooting, Hylton was found by her relatives lying face down on the floor inside her shop, with apparent gunshot wounds to her head and upper body. She was transported to the Savann-la-mar hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Upon processing the scene, the police recovered ten .45 spent casings, four .40 spent casings, 25 9mm spent casings, five damaged bullets, eight bullet fragments, and one cell phone. The motive for the shooting remains unknown.
Fatal Confrontation Between Police and Suspect in Bog Walk.
A fatal confrontation unfolded in Bog Walk on Thursday night, as twenty-seven-year-old Romario Rickardo Sterling met his demise in a reported shootout with the police.
Allegedly opening fire on the police as they entered the Pineapple Lane community, Sterling was swiftly met with a return of gunfire that proved fatal.
Despite being rushed to the Linstead Public Hospital, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries. The police assert that they recovered a 9mm pistol loaded with eight cartridges from the scene.
