Tragic Accident Claims Lives in St. Ann
A devastating collision took place between Discovery Bay and Runaway Bay in St. Ann, resulting in a deadly fire involving four vehicles. Sadly, at least two individuals lost their lives in this heartbreaking tragedy.

The vehicles involved in the accident were a Toyota Mark X, a BMW X6 SUV, a Hilux truck, and a tour bus, all of which were engulfed in flames upon impact. Tragically, two of the drivers perished at the scene, while the other two sustained injuries.
Preliminary reports suggest that speeding may have been a contributing factor to this tragic collision. The aftermath left the roadway scattered with debris, causing a significant build-up in traffic as emergency responders worked diligently to assess the situation.

Businessman and jerk vendor shot dead in Green Island, Hanover.
Two men, including a businessman, tragically lost their lives in a senseless gun attack in Green Island, Hanover, on Wednesday.
The deceased individuals were identified as Romaine Jones, also known as ‘Juvenile,’ aged 35, a prominent businessman and owner of the Lobster Smokehouse restaurant; and Elsworth Foster, a.k.a. ‘Bower,’ aged 56, a respected jerk vendor. Both men resided in the South Sprink District in Green Island, Hanover.

According to reports, at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, Romaine Jones visited Foster’s stall along the Green Island main road to buy food when armed individuals approached and opened fire, resulting in fatal injuries to both men before fleeing on foot.
The police swiftly responded and transported the injured men to the hospital, where they were sadly pronounced dead.
Law enforcement in Hanover has posited that these killings may be linked to an ongoing internal conflict within the Green Island-based 100 Rounds gang.
The investigation into this tragic incident is ongoing.

A suspected scammer from Clarendon, who claimed to work as a building contractor, has pleaded guilty to charges related to lottery scamming in the May Pen Circuit Court on Thursday, January 11, 2024.

The individual identified as Jermaine Gabriel, aged 27 and residing in Peckham, Frankfield, will await his fate until the sentencing takes place on January 29, 2024.
Gabriel was charged by the police with possession of identity information and an access device, as well as obtaining money through false pretenses.
His arrest took place on Friday, December 18, 2020, following a seek and detain operation at his residence conducted by the Lottery Scam Task Force.
Upon analyzing his cell phone, authorities discovered multiple files containing the identity information of individuals living abroad, leading to his subsequent arrest and charges.
