Trelawny cops charged a security guard after fatally stabbing a woman.

FALMOUTH, TRELAWNY, JamaicaDetectives in Trelawny on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, charged a 23-year-old security guard who allegedly inflicted a fatal wound to a woman’s neck during an altercation.

The police named the murder suspect Aston Mitchell, o/c ‘Cjay,’ 23, of the Hague district in Trelawny.

And dead is Shanice Burke, age 25, of the Hague district in Trelawny and St. Margaret’s Bay in Portland.

According to reports in the streets, the incident occurred on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. A verbal altercation between Burke and Mitchell turned into a fistfight, during which Mitchell used a knife and allegedly stuck it into Burke’s neck.

The accused murderer then allegedly transported the wounded dying/dead woman, perhaps in his motorcar, to Foreshore Road in Falmouth, Trelawny, where he dumped her body in the bushes.

Three days later, at about 9:50 a.m., on October 28, 2023, residents stumbled upon the body and alerted the police.

The Gumshoes launched an intensive investigation, and during an operation on Saturday, November 11, 2023, they captured Mitchell in a dragnet.

The police charged him on Tuesday, November 14, 2023. He will appear in the Trelawny Parish Court in Duncan on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

Police charged a teen boy with the robbery of a taxi driver.

ST ANDREW, JamaicaGum shoes in St Andrew charged a 17-year-old boy after he and others attacked a taxi operator with guns and machetes and robbed him as he waited to pick up passengers.

The police charged the unnamed St Andrew teen on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, with robbery with aggravation and conspiracy to robbery with aggravation.

The allegation stated that at about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, a caller requested that the taxi operator pick them up on South Camp Road and transport them to a Halfway Tree address.

On arrival at the pickup location, two females, identified as the callers, requested his help to put items in the car’s trunk.

While the taxi operator helped the women, a teen and four men armed with handguns and machetes accosted him and began inflicting multiple chop wounds on his body.

The men then robbed the taxi operator of his car, cash, a cellphone, and other personal items.

The injured man escaped and reported the matter to the police.

The officers assisted the complainant to the hospital, where the authorities treated him.

The police launched an investigation, and on Thursday, November 2, 2023, the teen’s parents handed him over to the police. The complainant subsequently pointed him out on an identification parade.

The police charged the teen on November 14, 2023. His court appearance date is pending.

The police are actively searching for the teen’s accomplices.
