HAGLEY PARK ROAD, KINGSTON, Jamaica–A six-year-old girl was among three people shot and killed by a gunman along Delano Avenue off Hagley Park Road in Kingston on Friday night, November 3, 2023.

According to the police report, the child was among a group of people standing along the roadway when a motorcar pulled up alongside them, and an occupant pointed a gun at the group and opened fire before escaping.
After the shooting, four people were seen suffering from gunshot wounds. The injured were assisted to the hospital by the police. Hospital authorities pronounced three dead, including the 6-year-old. The authorities treated and released the fourth victim.
The police identified the deceased as Ariana Salmon, age 6, and Mari Salmon, age 42, both of Howard Avenue in Kingston, and Michael Smith, age 34.
The police have yet to establish a motive for the shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
A man died in a two-vehicle collision on Runaway Bay Main Road.
RUNAWAY BAY, ST ANN, Jamaica–A man died from injuries he sustained in a two-vehicle collision on the Runaway Bay main road in St Ann on Friday, November 3, 2023.

Police identified the deceased as Michael Kitson, age 26, of Mines district in St Ann.
The police report stated that shortly before 7 a.m., Kitson was driving along the roadway when he reportedly overtook a line of traffic and collided with a truck.
The police assisted Kitson and three of his passengers to the hospital, where hospital authorities pronounced him dead and admitted the others for treatment.
The St Ann police are investigating the incident.
