Jamaica News–Law enforcement officers responded to a murder scene at a Spur Tree Hill bar in Manchester Saturday night, October 21, 2023, where a lone gunman shot a man dead.
The photo of Jethro Driscoll authorities identified the deceased Jethro Driscoll, o/c ‘Soljie,’ and ‘Chris,’ age 48, an ex-soldier and late construction worker.

St. Elizabeth construction worker charged for allegedly robbing supermarket
Jamaica News – Detectives assigned to the St Elizabeth Police Department charged Dwayne ‘Blacks’ Atkinson with larceny and housebreaking concerning an October 15, 2023 incident in Black River, St. Elizabeth.
The 29-year-old suspect, who claimed he was a construction worker from New Town, Black River, and frequents Brampton in St. Elizabeth, was among a group of four men seen on surveillance cameras in the vicinity of a popular supermarket in Black River at about 2 a.m. on October 15, 2023.
A police patrol responded to the location, and upon seeing the officers, the men ran away. The police pursued the men and caught Atkinson with items the complainant identified as stolen.
The police inspected the supermarket and determined that the men gained entry through a window.
The authorities have taken Atkinson into custody and have formally filed charges against him. His court appearance is still pending.
