On Saturday evening, October 14, 2023, rival thugs in Arnett Gardens, St Andrew, brought ‘Hutchie Pang’s’ grip on ‘Top Jungle’ to an abrupt end when armed men in the community gunned him down.
The authorities confirmed the shooting and identified the dead man as Damani Taylor, o/c ‘Hutchie Pang,’ area don of a community section previously known as ‘Back a Wall.’
According to words in the street, ‘Hutchie Pang’ had it coming. Residents said he has been disrespecting community elders who were respected community figures.
Residents said ‘Hutchie Pang’ drew the last straw when he ordered the beating of an upstanding community member–a move that spurred members of his clan to take him out.

East Kingston police charged laborer with fisherman’s murder on September 9, 2023.
KINGSTON, Jamaica— On Friday, October 13, 2023, police charged a Kingston suspect after he and others chased and gunned down a fisherman on D’Agular Road in Rockfort, Kingston, on September 9, 2023.
The authorities identified the dead man as Kalifah Reddicks o/c ‘Worla,’ age 39, a late fisherman from Commission Road in Rockfort, Kingston.
The police charged Omar Richardson, age 21, a laborer of D’Agular Road, with murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
According to reports, at about 8:50 p.m., Reddicks was walking along the roadway in the community when Richardson and his accomplices ambushed and opened gunfire on him, hitting him several times before he collapsed.
The police responded and transported Reddicks to the, where he died.
The police launched an investigation, which led to Richardson’s arrest. The police charged him on October 13, 2023, following a question-and-answer session in the presence of his attorney.
His court date is pending.
