Police charged a 21-year-old suspect with GC Foster College VP’s murder.

On Friday, October 13, 2023, Detectives from the St Catherine South Division announced via X that they had charged a suspect with the murder of Gibbs Williams, a Vice-Principal of GC Foster College of Physical Education in Spanish Town, St Catherine, who was gunned down in Portmore, earlier this month.

The police identified the suspect as Jerome Hayles, age 31, of Dove Street in Kingston.

According to the police, they charged Hayles with murder, participating in a criminal organization, aiding and abetting, and robbery with aggravation.

On Friday, October 6, 2023, Williams completed an appointment at a facility in the Portmore Hospital complex a few minutes after midday. He was headed toward his vehicle when gunmen attacked him.

Authorities at the Spanish Town Hospital pronounced Williams dead on arrival.

Police search for driver who fatally struck 5-year-old child in Clarendon.

Law enforcement officers in Clarendon are searching for a motorist involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision involving a five-year-old boy along the Bunkers Hill main road in Clarendon on Wednesday.

The authorities identified the deceased child as Demarvy Davey, a student of Bunkers Hill Primary School and a late resident of Broadleaf in Frankfield, Clarendon.

According to reports, at about 3:17 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, the child was mowed down by a speeding, erratic white Toyota Probox motorcar while walking along the road with his mother.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop. The authorities would later find the car abandoned in another community in the parish.

Unfortunately, little Demarvy was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police investigators suspect the motorist’s speeding resulted in the child getting mowed down while crossing the roadway.

Thugs pushed a man from a car, then shot and killed him.

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – On Thursday, October 12, 2023, unknown thugs gunned down an unidentified man in Reid’s Pen, St Catherine.

The authorities described the body as a dark complexion, slim build, and clad in a black hoodie, white merino, blue shorts, and black sneakers. The police said the victim appeared to be in his twenties.

According to the Portmore police, at about 9:30 p.m., the man was a passenger in a motorcar when somebody allegedly pushed him from the motor vehicle onto the roadway and opened gunfire, hitting him several times.

The motorcar then sped away. Hospital authorities pronounced the victim dead on arrival.
