Police in Westmoreland charged a father with incest after he allegedly sexually assaulted his 15-year-old daughter, who had visited him at his home in Westmoreland.
The police charged the 40-year-old farmer with rape, grievous sexual assault, and sexual touching.
The police said on three occasions, the child visited her father at his house, and he molested her.
According to the police, the accused allegedly inserted his finger into her vagina on one occasion. On another visit, he pushed his hand into the child’s underwear and touched her vagina.
According to the complainant, in August 2023, her father held her down and raped her.
The child reported the matter to the police earlier in October. The police launched an investigation, which led to her father’s arrest and subsequent charge on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
The suspect’s court date is pending.
A Long-standing feud in St Mary ends deadly.
ST MARY, Jamaica –On Thursday morning, October 12, 2023, a 48-year-old farmer butchered a 24-year-old man during an incident along the Windsor Castle main road in St Mary.
The authorities identified the dead man as Javaughn Patterson, o/c ‘Jav,’ age 24, a late resident of Windsor Castle in Carron Hall, St Mary.
The suspected murderer is a 48-year-old farmer and resident of Windsor Castle, Carron Hall in St Mary is on the run.
According to reports, both men have been feuding since a fire destroyed the 48-year-old man’s house earlier this year. And the suspect had been adamant that Patterson had something to do with the fire that destroyed his house.
So, at about 5:45 a.m., on Thursday, October 12, 2023, the two men got into an argument, during which the accused allegedly used a machete and inflicted several wounds to the head, neck, hands, and feet of Patterson, killing him on the spot.
The police responded to the scene and, upon arriving, found Patterson lying face down in a pool of blood.
The police transported the injured man to the hospital, where authorities pronounced him dead.
The suspect fled the scene. The police have launched a search to find him.
Thugs shot and injured five people in Allman Town Drive-by.
Police from the Kingston Central Division responded to a drive-by shooting incident in Allman Town on Thursday, October 12, 2023, where thugs shot and injured several persons.
According to preliminary reporting, residents and the police have assisted at least five people with gunshot wounds to the hospital.
The shooting occurred sometime after 7:00 p.m. at the community’s intersection of John’s Street and Great George’s Street.
Operations Officer for the Kingston Central Police Division, Deputy Superintendent Eucal Francis, confirmed the incident.

The Court found Corporal Jermaine Powell guilty of Possession of Cocaine, Dealing in Cocaine, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Criminal Property, and Conspiracy.
The judge will hand down the sentence on December 31, 2023.
According to the Prosecution, on November 9, 2018, a team of law enforcement officers from the Narcotics Division and police officers from Porus Police Station conducted anti-narcotics operations along the Porus main road.
The officers signaled the driver of a white Toyota Probox to stop. The car’s driver was Corporal Powell, and he complied.
During a vehicle search, the police found cocaine weighing more than two pounds, valued at $1.4 million, and $1.2 million in cash concealed between the spare wheel and the vehicle’s body.
