ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – According to preliminary reporting, three women were among four people killed in Crawl, Riversdale, in St Catherine early Tuesday morning, September 26, 2023, by unknown assailants.
The police reportedly have confirmed the shooting.
A police source told the media that residents heard explosions around 2:15 a.m. and summoned the police.
The police responded and found the victims’ bodies – three women and a man with what appeared to be gunshot wounds.
The victims died in the same house, the police concluded.

The police identified the deceased as Kenton Salmon, 42, a late shopkeeper from the Burnt Savannah community.
According to the police, at about 7:30 a.m., Salmon’s mentally challenged cousin attacked him with a piece of iron pipe, which he used to inflict wounds on Salmon’s head, and injured his girlfriend.
Salmon died on the scene. Residents took the girlfriend to the hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.
The police are investigating the matter.
