Detectives in St. Mary charged a 56-year-old male suspect after he allegedly detained and raped a 12-year-old female child at his home in Barracks River, Richmond, in St Mary, on August 4, 2023.
According to reporting, on August 4, 2023, at about 4:00 p.m., the child had gone to the suspect’s home to retrieve items when the suspect allegedly locked the inside the house and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect then imprisoned the child in one of the rooms, but she escaped and made a report to the police.
The girl managed to escape and made a report to the police.
The police subsequently arrested the suspect after the child pointed him out during an identification parade.
The police charged the suspect with unlawful detention with intent to have sexual intercourse and rape.
His court date is pending.
A man was gunned down at a Westmoreland restaurant while waiting for breakfast.
On Thursday morning, September 7, a lone thug shot and killed a man at a restaurant in Westmoreland while waiting for his breakfast order.
The police identified the deceased as Ojay Davidson, age 25, a late resident of a Church Lincoln, Grange Hill, Westmoreland address.
According to reporting, Davidson was on bail for murder. And one of his bail conditions was that he should not be in Westmoreland.
However, at about 8 a.m., on Thursday, September 7, 2023, Davidson, in breach of his bail conditions, went to a restaurant in Grange the Hill, where he ordered breakfast. He went outside while waiting for the meal.
During his wait, a lone gunman approached him and opened fire. Davidson reportedly sustained multiple gunshot injuries.
Hospital authorities pronounced Davidson dead on arrival.
The police did not establish a motive for the killing.
