Today, September 02, 2023, I rise from my slumber to the sound of Katy Nichole’s song “In Jesus’ Name (God of Possible)” coming through my radio speakers.
I must have heard the song a million times. But this morning, it was different. As the music played, I began reflecting on Jamaica and everything happening. And suddenly, it struck me that Jamaica needs healing, and I should dedicate the song to the country and all the people going through tough times worldwide.
As Jamaicans, we often blame politicians and the political system for our problems, and we should when it warrants our doing so. Still, we should never forget that politicians are humans who make mistakes.
Therefore, I want to dedicate this touching song to Jamaica and whoever cares to listen.
