Police identified the deceased as Trevor Robinson, o/c ‘Big Back,’ age 66, unemployed, and Delroy Grant, o/c ‘Nine head,’ age 48– late Irish Pen, Spanish Town construction worker.
The woman is in stable condition in hospital.

According to reporting, on Wednesday, July 19, at about 7:50 am, the three victims stood along Job Lane across from the examination depot. Suddenly a white motorcar drove up. And men alighted and opened fire, hitting the victims multiple times.

The police responded swiftly, and transported the victims to the hospital, where the authorities pronounced Robinson and Grant dead, and admitted the woman for treatment.

According to the streets, Grant was the intended target.

The police are investigating the incident. The police did not suggest an apparent motive for the shooting.

Hanover predator convicted for sexually assaulting young relative.

According to a Judicial Eye report, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, the Hanover Circuit Court found an older adult guilty of sexually assaulting a child continuously for three years since she was nine.

Family members believe the trauma caused the poor child to attempt suicide in 2021, which led to another sexual assault by a male aide worker at the Noel Holmes Hospital in Hanover, where the child was getting medical care.

The predator, who is related to the child, was found guilty by a jury on Wednesday of grievous sexual assault and attempted sexual intercourse with a person under 16 at the end of his trial in the Hanover Circuit Court.

The convicted man will return to court for sentencing on July 31, 2023.

The authorities have withheld the predator’s identity to protect the child. 

The illegal sexual encounter began in 2015 and lasted for three years, according to one of the child’s parents.

“I’m quite satisfied with the justice system because I got justice from it,” a parent of the teen victim told The Gleaner after the judge announced the verdict. 

Nursing aide Damion Bigby, 46, was convicted last year of indecent assault for fondling the traumatized teen at the Noel Holmes Hospital where she was being treated after the suicide attempt.

A woman, 18, stabbed her 16-year-old boyfriend in the neck.

ST ANN, Jamaica— On Tuesday, July 18, 2023, the St Ann PD reported that they took an 18-year-old woman into custody on a charge of wounding with intent after she allegedly stabbed her 16-year-old boyfriend during a dispute in Liberty Valley, Brown’s Town, St Ann. 

The police identified the accused as Samoya Reid, age 18, a cashier from a Liberty Valley address.

According to the St Ann’s Bay police, at about 10:30 pm, Reid went to visit her boyfriend, and an argument developed between the love birds. During the back and forth, Reid allegedly used a ratchet knife to stab the complainant in the neck.

The police transported the injured teen to the hospital, where the authorities admitted him.

Hours later, Reid surrendered to the police. And the police subsequently charged her.

Her court date is pending.
