ST ANN, Jamaica— The St Ann police arrested and charged a construction worker with shooting with intent after reportedly shooting at a shopkeeper in Pimento Walk, Ocho Rios, St Ann, on Saturday, June 17, 2023.

The police said they charged Rushain Allen, o/c ‘Cocoa,’ age 30, of Russell Hall, Parry Town, St Ann, with shooting with intent, possessing a prohibited weapon, unlawful possession of ammunition, and using a prohibited weapon to commit a felony.
According to a police release, on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at about 9:45 pm, the shopkeeper was at his business place when Allen allegedly approached him, brandishing an object resembling a firearm, and opened fire at him. The shopkeeper mysteriously evaded the bullet.
He reported the incident to the St Ann’s Bay police, and the police launched an investigation. The police arrested Allen in an operation and charged him.
His court appearance date is pending.
Police charged a 51 year old St Mary man with rape of 6 year old child.
ST MARY, Jamaica: Detectives in St Mary arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a six-year-old child twice while doing mason work at the child’s house.

The police charged Clive Green, age 51, mason of Hamilton Mountain in St Mary, with two counts of rape and grievous sexual assault.
According to reports, Green sexually assaulted the child in a St Ann community on separate occasions since 2023. And according to the police, on both occasions, the child’s parents hired Green to work at the child’s home when he sexually assaulted and raped her.
The complainant eventually reported the incident to the police, and they arrested and charged Green following an interview.
His court appearance date is pending.
