The police reported that they had arrested three alleged rapists in separate incidents in Manchester, St Mary, and Hanover.

On Wednesday, June 7, 2023, the St Mary police arrested Ramone Hoilette, o/c ‘Ramsay,’ age 31, taxi operator, after he allegedly raped a 15-year-old girl in Decoy District, St Mary.

According to news reports, at about 8 am, on June 7, 2023, the teen boarded the taxi operated by the accused. Hoilette detoured from the designated route.

The police said Hoilette stopped the vehicle on a lonely road, climbed into the car’s back seat where the child was seated, and sexually assaulted her.

On Sunday, June 4, 2023, Hanover police arrested Collin Campbell, o/c ‘Cjay,’ age 34, of May Day District, Manchester, after a woman complained that he raped her in Hanover.

According to the complainant’s report, on Sunday, June 4, 2023, the accused, accompanied by two other women, went to an establishment in Orange Bay, Hanover, where Campbell and the complainant shared a room.

At about 4:00 am, the complainant said that Campbell allegedly held her down against her will, threatened her with a knife, and sexually assaulted her.

In Manchester, the police charged 25-year-old Mathew Smith, o/c ‘OJ’ of Kingsland District, Manchester, with Rape, Burglary, Robbery with Aggravation, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Shooting with Intent, and Unlawful Wounding.

The police said the accused had been suspected in several incidents of rape and burglary in the parish since 2022.

Narco police busted a St Elizabeth man with $29m Worth of Cocaine at Sangster International.

The police reported that they arrested a delivery man from St Elizabeth for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act at the Donald Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James, on Thursday, June 8, 2023.

According to a report from the Narcotics Division, at about 3:00 pm, Thursday, June 8, 2023, the accused, a 49-year-old male from Thornton, St Elizabeth, attempted to board a flight at the Sangster International Airport to London, England.

Detectives stopped him and searched his luggage. During the search, they found 5 kilograms of cocaine worth over $29 million hidden in his luggage.

The police withheld the alleged drug smuggler’s name pending further investigation.
