Detectives assigned to the St Ann police division reported the arrest of a St Ann snake oil salesperson. He allegedly told a naive young female she was sick and he needed to perform rituals on her to make her well. The police charged the man with several sex-related offenses.

The police charged DeCarlos Christie, o/c ‘Jubby,’ age 36, a farmer from Fullerton Park in Inverness, Alexandria, St Ann, with abduction, rape, grievous sexual assault and using a computer for malicious commutation.

Police said Christie committed the unlawful acts between 7 pm and 10 pm on May 17, 2023, at his home.

According to the police report, Christie met an 18-year-old St Catherine teen on TikTok. He advised her she was sick and he could make her well. Christie instructed the vulnerable teen to strip naked, lather her body with oily, make video clips of her nude body, and send the videos to him.

The teen complied with Christie’s requests. Then, Christie ordered the unsuspecting teen to visit him in St Ann where he would perform rituals to make her well again. He reportedly warned her he would expose the videos if she did not comply.

The police said the woman yielded to Christie’s demands and met with him in St Ann. Christie took her home and told her he needed her cum to perform the rituals.

Christie proceeded to have unlawful sexual intercourse and other sex acts with the woman.

The woman subsequently reported the incident to the police, and the police launched a probe.

The police apprehended Christie on May 19, 2023, when he reported to the police as part of his bail condition in another matter. On Friday, May 19, 2023, the complainant pointed out Christie on an identification parade. As a result, the police charged him on Saturday, May 20, 2023. 

The murder of the ‘Your Choice Family Pharmacy’ operator sent shock waves throughout Linstead.

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The popular Linstead, St Catherine pharmacy operator whom a lone thug shot and injured on Saturday, June 3, 2023, unfortunately, died from his injuries in the hospital on Sunday, June 4, 2023.

The killing of the beloved 47-year-old Deslan White, a late resident of the Jericho district in Linstead, has emitted shock waves throughout the community.

And the police said they have yet to establish a motive for the attack or identify any suspects.

According to a release from the Linstead police, at about 7:30 pm, Saturday, June 3, 2023, White was driving his grey Honda Fit motorcar along the Jericho Main road. And upon reaching Jericho Bridge, a lone gunman opened fire at him, hitting him multiple times.

Citizens alerted the police. Upon their arrival, the police rushed White to the Linstead Hospital, where the authorities admitted him in serious condition. Unfortunately, he died from his injuries on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at about 2:30 pm.
