Brother killed over a bucket – 15-y-o arrested after 19-year-old fatally stabbed.

On Saturday night, May 20, 2023, residents in Washington Mews, a small community close to Westmeade Willows in Portmore, St Catherine, were jolted by the shocking news that a 15-year-old had allegedly fatally stabbed his 19-year-old brother.

The police identified the dead teen as Norlando McDonald.

According to the head of the St Catherine South Police Division, Senior Superintendent Christopher Phillips, the brothers were arguing over a bucket.

“The information we have is that both brothers were at home when an argument developed between them over a bucket, I was told. The argument became physical, during which the younger apparently ran into the kitchen and grabbed a knife, then he returned and used it to stab McDonald in the left and right side of his groin area.”

Residents rushed McDonald to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Shaken by grief and almost unable to speak, the boys’ mother declined to talk with the news team. However, their stepfather told THE STAR that “prayers alone” had kept them.

Phillips said he gathered that the community is close-knit, so they are in shock and grieving.

But, he continued:

“The family, when I visited, they’re not taking it well. We’re talking about two members of the family – two brothers – one now deceased and one in police custody.”

Bounty Killer Barked Golding’s Pledge To Give 80% Of Salary Increase To “Needy Causes.”

Bounty Killer has poured cold water on Opposition Leader Mark Golding’s announcement that he will give 80 percent of his salary hike to “needy causes.”

On Friday May 19, 2023, after learning of Mark Golding’s statements, the self-proclaimed ‘Poor People Governor’ sought to place the Peoples National Party (PNP) president under scrutiny in an Instagram post.

This action came three days after the Living Dangerously deejay expressed disgust at the announcement made by Finance Minister Dr. Nigel Clarke that Members of Parliament, Cabinet Ministers, Mayors, and Parish Councillors would be given exponential increases in salaries.

At that time, Bounty had also asked about the raise for “teachers, nurses, police, firefighters and other public servants” and later expressed contempt for the PNP’s press release, which expressed disagreement with the raise after initially expressing “no objection”.

On Friday, the Warlord turned his full attention to Golding, where he called the St. Andrew Southern MP’s sincerity into question and sought to banish any idea the former Minister of Justice cared about the welfare of the people.

“Mark rich from in his late twenties dawg him nuh need nuh raise more than the police teachers nurses and firefighters etc.,” Bounty said in response to a statement made by Billboard-charting producer Kirk “Koolface” Ford that Golding ought not to have accepted “such a large increase in the first place because he’s already rich and it goes to show how much they love their pockets that’s why Andrew buy them out with a few more dollars.”
