Police charged a 15-y-o boy after he allegedly stabbed a 9-y-o in Westmoreland.

The police in Savanna-La-Mar arrested and charged a 15-year-old boy with wounding with intent after allegedly sticking a knife in a 9-year-old boy’s chest during a disagreement at a school in Westmoreland on Monday.

The police reported that at about 7:30 pm, a group of children were playing a football game when a conflict developed between the two boys.

According to reports, the 15-year-old boy allegedly used a knife and stabbed the 9-year-old boy in his chest. Citizens rushed the boy to the hospital, where the authorities treated and admitted him. His condition is severe.

The Savanna-La-Mar police have taken the 15-year-old boy into custody. They charged him with wounding with intent after an interview on Wednesday, May 03, 2023. 

The police have not yet decided on a court date.

Clarendon man charged with uncle’s murder

The Clarendon police have finally charged James Clair, age 32, a Clarendon resident who allegedly killed his uncle Douglas Clair during an altercation in November 2022. 

According to the police report, the deceased – 46-year-old Douglas behaved erratically on the day in question, wielding his machete and making death threats at residents.

Shortly after, several residents pounced upon him and inflicted multiple stabs and chop wounds.

Citizens summoned the police. The police rushed the injured man to the hospital, where he died.

The police launched an investigation which led them to arrest James Clair on Friday, April 28, 2023. The police would charge him with murder on May 3, 2023, following a question and answer session in the presence of his lawyer. His court date is pending.

Robbers posing as cops robbed a Clarendon family at home.

CLARENDON, Jamaica – The Clarendon police reported that on Wednesday night, May 3, 2023, robbers posing as cops robbed several family members at their home in McGilchrist Palm, Clarendon.

According to the police, at about 9:00 pm, on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, the complainants were home when they heard loud banging on their front door and men shouting ‘police.’

But when they glanced outside, they saw men armed with handguns who did not look like police. So, the complainants attempted to reinforce the door, but the gunmen kicked it open and forced themselves inside the residence.

Once inside, the men ransacked the house and robbed several items, including two tablets valued at $100,000.

While leaving, the men attacked another family and a neighbor who had just returned home.

One of the men grabbed the family member’s handbag containing a Samsung smartphone, a silver ring with a diamond, and a set of house keys. The man then fired several shots in the air.

Another gunman walked towards the neighbor, but the neighbor fled the scene. The robber gave chase and fired several shots. Luckily, the neighbor escaped unhurt. 

The gunmen escaped in a waiting white Toyota Fielder motorcar, the police said.
