The authorities in Trelawny have closed the Parish Court in Falmouth due to structural damage.
The court’s roof caved in on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. As a result, the Court Administration Division immediately closed the building and shifted operations to the parish court in Duncans.
Miss Kadiesh Fletcher, Director of Client Services, Communications, and Information at the Court Administration Division, said the following.
“There is significant damage to the space that needs to get addressed before it is safe for stakeholders and members of the public to use the space.”
All stakeholders, including the police and attorneys, have been informed of the change of venue for court cases.
And members of the public can rest assured that the transition to Duncans will be smooth. However, they should expect minimal disruptions.
