Portmore police have reported three fatal shootings between 9:00 pm Monday night, March 6, 2023, and 1:30 am Tuesday morning, March 7, 2023.

During the first shooting, two men were shot, one fatally, in Watson Grove, Gregory Park.
Two others were shot and injured in Reids Pen in the second shooting, and another man was gunned down on Port Henderson Road.
The incidents occurred between 9:00 p.m. and 1:30 a.m.
Cops do not think the crimes are related.
Mother and son in a deadly house fire have been identified.

Dead are Keisha Walters and her 5-year-old son Joel Brown. Both bodies were discovered beneath rubbles after the Fire Department put out the fire.
The bodies were taken to the morgue for post-mortem examination.
According to reports, at about 10:40 p.m., on Monday night, March 6, 2023, residents in the community summoned the Fire Department and the police after they saw fire and smoke coming from a section of the dwelling.
Upon the arrival of the firefighters, the house fire had already engulfed the building, and they could only manage to carry out cooling-down operations.
Quick-thinking bus drivers helped to save a supermarket from a fire on Tuesday morning, March 7, 2023.
This morning, quick-thinking bus operators in Lucea, Hanover, helped save a supermarket owner millions of dollars after a fire threatened to destroy the premises.
“When I saw what was happening, I alerted another bus driver and he drove to the fire station, which is in close proximity, and they responded as quickly as possible,” a driver on the scene told The STAR.
The fire, which started at about 4:40 am this morning, caused only minor damages to a small office upstairs the supermarket, sandwiched between the National Commercial Bank (NCB) and Courts.
