West Kingston Man charged following a gun seizure in Kingston.

The police arrested and charged a man in West Kingston with unlawful possession of a prohibited weapon and ammunition.

According to the police, they have arrested and charged 21-year-old Joel Bailey, otherwise called ‘Andem,’ of a Wellington Street address in Kingston, is charged with possessing a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

The police stated that at about 10:30 p.m., Friday, February 24,2023, law enforcement officers conducted an operation along Wellington Street. And they visited a business establishment. Upon arrival, they saw a man running from the building. They accosted and searched the man and found a Raven .25 revolver and five 9mm cartridges on his person.

Elderly man killed, passenger injured in Clarendon crash.

A sixty-five-year-old man identified as Courtney Williams, a chef of Rocky Point, Clarendon, died Saturday afternoon, February 2023, due to injuries he sustained during a motor vehicle collision along Bustamante Drive. 

According to the Lionel Town police, at about 2:45 p.m., Williams drove a Honda Stream motor car along Bustamante Drive towards Lionel Town.

The police said Williams lost control of the vehicle, collided with a concrete structure and a light pole, and flipped over. As a result, Williams and a lone passenger got thrown from the vehicle, and they sustained multiple injuries.

They were transported to the hospital, where Williams was pronounced dead while the other person was admitted.
