Bank employee allegedly stole 35 million dollars and fled to Canada

Head of the St. Ann Police, Senior Superintendent Dwight Powell, dispelled a report about a bank employee stealing 35 million dollars from a financial institution in the parish.

On Tuesday, February 21, 2023, it was rumored on social media that a female Bank employee allegedly stole money amounting to 35 million dollars from a financial institution in St. Ann.

The reports alleged that the employee left the bank with the cash and told her Supervisors she was taking her lunch break.

But after the employee failed to return to work within a reasonable time, the bank launched a probe. And it discovered that the money was missing, and the employee had allegedly left the island on a flight to Canada.

But, according to SSP Powell, all of the Police stations in the parish have yet to receive any report of money gone missing from any Financial Institution in the parish.
