Dancehall artiste Mavado celebrated his 42nd birthday yesterday, November 30, 2022. Now, his sights are set on New York, Where he will hit the stage for his annual birthday celebration. Appropriately named ‘The Return,’ a concert many people say is getting a lot of buzz, will be on stage on Saturday, December 10, 2022, in New York. It will be Mavado’s first concert in the Big Apple in three years.

In a press release on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, Mavado said the following:
“The pandemic and COVID really did slow things down in the concert arena. Nuff shows were [placed] on hold, people out of work, and nuff people just never a come out. But nothing happens before the time. New York. I will be there in live and living color, along with a few friends, to celebrate life and my fans.”

In addition to the ‘Gully Boss,’ Vendetta fans will see Alkaline up close. Perhaps Alkaline could use the opportunity to explain to his fans what drove him to include a scene of him pretending he was snorting coke in a recent music video he shot for the song, ‘Profile.’
Also in the line-up are 450 and Sukianna. The superb Deno Crazy will be the master of ceremonies.
Mavado stated that he wants people to come out and enjoy themselves and experience the live concert vibes. He said he often used track when he performed in New York. But his December 10 performance will be backed by a live band, and it will be something other than regular.
Mavado’s real name is David Constantine Brooks. Recently he topped the Billboard with Blessed, a collaboration with Kidi, an Afrobeats artist. Mavado has a catalog of great hits, including Real McKoy, Deliah, and Weh Dem A Do.
