A shipping company that doubles as a Western Union outlet in St Ann was robbed early Friday morning. November 18, 2022. The business is owned and operated by Othneil Lawrence, a former Minister of Government. Earlier reports stated that the robbers got away with more than $1.5 from Western Union and $20,000 taken from the businessman.

The business is located in the Coombs Plaza on Main street in Moneague. The police have said they learned that the robbery was carried out by six masked men, all wearing gloves.
According to sources close the investigation, it appears the robbers gained access to the store but cutting the grill gate broke a glass door. They then cut open the steel door to the Western Union Union vault.
Sources said the alarm system triggered during the robbery, and the police were called. But the police arrived after the robbers made good their escape. The wires to the security cameras were cut.
This is not the first time a business operated by Lawrence got robbed. The record revealed that in March 2020, another company, Lawrence operated in Moneague, was robbed of $1 million and several phones.
