Jamaica It’s been reported that DancehallMag received information that a lawyer representing Mr. Vegas in his lawsuit against VP wants to withdraw from the case. She cites the breakdown in communication with the artist as the reason.
Her decision came one day after she argued relentlessly against dismal and informed the Court that an agreement was reached.
The suit, which was filed in November 2020 in the Eastern District Court of New York, accused VP of unfair competition, copyright infringement, breach of contract, and unjust enrichment.
The case involves four of Mr. Vegas’ hit songs, Heads High, Sucky Ducky, Hot Wuk, and Kill Em Wid it Re-Mix. It also includes four songs from Sean Paul’s debut album, Stage One, which was released in (2000).
On Friday, November 4, 2022, entertainment lawyer Colleen Kerwick wrote a letter to judge Pamela K. Chen seeking permission to withdraw herself from the case.
