After browsing around Montego Bay, they journeyed to a restaurant in Hanover. After leaving the restaurant, they traveled to a guest house in St James. And at some time during the night, an altercation developed between Townsend and Patterson, in which Patterson strangled Townsend, then disposed of her body.
