On July 14, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents detained a Jamaican flight attendant employed by Southwest Airlines while he was on duty in Nashville, Tennessee. The authorities have identified the detainee as Lorenzo Thompson, a Jamaican national. According to media reports, including Fox News, Thompson forfeited his visa by overstaying his allowed time in the U.S. He first entered the country on April 17, 2021, on a visa that expired on October 16, 2021.
