Law enforcement officers from the Constant Spring Police are conducting a thorough investigation into a tragic shooting that resulted in the murder of a teenager in Grants Pen, St Andrew, on the evening of Wednesday, September 25.
The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Malike Brown, an unemployed resident of Shortwood Lane, Kingston 8.
At approximately 8:30 p.m., it was reported that unknown assailants approached and shot Brown as he was walking along Oddman Lane in Grants Pen.
He later succumbed to his injuries at the Kingston Public Hospital.
As of now, police authorities have not established a motive for this shooting.
Police charged a security guard with Bray Street triple murder.
In KINGSTON, Jamaica, police have indicted a suspect in connection with the Bray Street triple murder that occurred on October 26, 2023.
The accused, identified as Lamar Leachman, 31, a security guard residing in Sandy Close, Norman Manley Meadows, Kingston, faces multiple charges. These include three counts of murder, wounding with intent, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Reports indicate that on October 16, 2023, at approximately 9:50 a.m., a group of men gathered in a section of Bray Street when a motor vehicle approached. Armed men exited the vehicle and opened fire on the group before fleeing the scene.
Several individuals sustained injuries, and the police promptly responded, assisting the wounded to the hospital. Unfortunately, three men were pronounced dead upon arrival.
In the wake of this incident, law enforcement conducted an investigation that ultimately led to Leachman’s arrest. He was formally charged on Wednesday, September 25, after a question-and-answer session in his attorney’s presence.
Leachman is awaiting his court date.
Police charged a Tattoo artist accused of sexually assaulting a girl under 16.
In CLARENDON, Jamaica, detectives indicted a tattoo artist after he allegedly lured a female child under 16 into his May Pen tattoo shop and sexually assaulted her.
According to the police report, the alleged crime occurred on Monday, September 24, at about 4:30 p.m.

Reportedly, the child was on her way home when she met the accused, who introduced himself to her.
Officials identified the accused as thirty-one-year-old Ramone Russell, from Osborne Store, Clarendon, and Trinity district, Porus, Machester,
The accused reportedly struck up a conversation with the child and allegedly lured her into his tattoo shop nearby. While there, the accused reportedly had sexual intercourse with the child against her will.
She went home and complained to her mother, who took her to the police station to file a formal report.
The police visited the scene of the crime and arrested the accused. The officers formally charged him after the complainant made a sworn statement. His court date is pending.
