Arrest and Charges Confirmed in Fatal Shooting Case
Officials from St. Elizabeth law enforcement have verified the arrest and charging of the individual responsible for the shooting death of a man known as ‘Puss’ at a party in Union Square on December 8, 2023.

Davion Brown, also known as ‘Boom Don,’ aged 30, faces charges of murder, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorized possession of ammunition, and use of a firearm to commit a felony.
The victim has been identified as Lennox Leachman, also known as ‘Jason.’
Authorities report that on the day in question, Brown and Leachman were among the attendees at Union Square when the accused engaged in a heated argument with other patrons. During the altercation, he allegedly assaulted one of the men.
Subsequently, Leachman confronted Brown, who supposedly drew a firearm from his waistband, aimed it at Leachman, and discharged several rounds.
Leachman was pronounced dead by authorities at the Black River Hospital.
Brown later turned himself over to the police in the company of his legal representative.
Following a thorough interrogation, the police formally charged Brown. His court date is pending.
Thugs gunned down a St Catherine man as he played dominoes
Police in St. Catherine have initiated an investigation into the fatal shooting of 37-year-old Nigel Carty, who was tragically killed while playing dominoes on Monday night, January 8, 2024.
According to reports, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Carty and a group of individuals were targeted by two armed men at a corner shop in the Gulf District near Linstead. The assailants proceeded to open fire, resulting in Carty sustaining multiple gunshot wounds before the perpetrators fled the scene on foot.

Subsequently, law enforcement discovered Carty’s lifeless body slumped on a wooden stool.
Although the motive behind this heinous act remains unknown, it has been disclosed that Carty is the second member of his family to fall victim to gun violence in recent months.

AR-15 Rifle Seized in Manchester, Jamaica
Two individuals have been apprehended by law enforcement in connection with the confiscation of an AR-15 rifle during a cordon and search operation in the Battersea, New Green community in Manchester on Tuesday morning, January 9, 2024.
Authorities reported that at approximately 4:30 a.m., a team of law enforcement officers cordoned off and conducted searches of properties in the Battersea New Green community.
During the operation, the officers discovered an AR-15 rifle, along with a cache of 5.56 rounds.
Two suspects were taken into custody in relation to this discovery, and their identities have been withheld pending further investigation.
