A Son who was allegedly shot by his cop mother died.

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica—Tragically, a young man who reportedly attacked his mother with a knife has passed away after being shot multiple times in the chest by his mother. The authorities have identified the deceased as Thyrone Erskin, age 19.

The heartbreaking incident took place after 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Ebony Vale, Spanish Town in St Catherine. Both the mother and son were at home when the son attacked his mom with a knife. Fearing for her life, the mother, who is a serving member of the JCF, had no choice but to discharge her weapon, regretfully hitting her son three times in the chest.

Law enforcement officers responded and rushed the injured teen to the hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. Despite the efforts made, Erskine later succumbed to his injuries.

Tragic Loss in St. Ann

A heartbreaking incident occurred in St. Ann as a woman lost her life in a motor vehicle collision on the Ocho Rios Bypass. The victim, identified as Rayleen Fagan from Ocho Rios, tragically succumbed to her injuries.

The collision involved an International motor truck and a white Toyota Probox, with Fagan being a passenger in the latter. This unfortunate event occurred around 11:50 p.m. as both vehicles traveled in opposite directions along the bypass.

The police swiftly responded to the scene and transported the injured to the hospital, but sadly, Fagan did not survive. The Ocho Rios Police have initiated preliminary investigations into this distressing incident. Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss.
