Police Arrested ‘Tallman’ in Clarendon for Triple Murder.

In a major breakthrough, a murder suspect known in the streets as ‘Tallman,’ whom the authorities deemed wanted in the November 15, 2023 edition of ‘Wanted Wednesday,’ was finally caught by the police at a house on Juno Crescent in Clarendon on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

The police reported that Charles Walford, aka ‘Tall Man,’ was listed in the ‘Wanted Wednesdays’ of the Jamaica Constabulary Force by the St Andrew South police on November 15, 2023.

According to the reports, Walford was taken into custody during a joint police-military operation at a residence located on Juno Crescent, May Pen, Clarendon, on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

These determined security forces raided the house in pursuit of illegal firearms and evidence linked to a murder committed in the community on December 7, 2023. Walford was apprehended effortlessly.

Superintendent Carlos Russell, the Commanding Officer of the Clarendon Police Division, proudly declared to The Gleaner that the police in St Elizabeth are relentless in their quest to target criminals. Furthermore, the police are intensifying their presence in various hotspots to ensure a ‘jolly’ Yuletide season.

Russell stated the following:

“The Clarendon police are toiling rigorously to safeguard the well-being of Clarendon’s inhabitants. As we approach the festive season, we shall diligently pursue the wanted men and purveyors of violence. Additionally, we have bolstered police presence in May Pen town center to guarantee the safety of all individuals frequenting the area.”

47-year-old man held as cops seize firearm during raid at wake

Law enforcement officials in Portland have reported the arrest and charging of a male suspect for violations of the Firearms Act. The individual in question has been identified as Julian Williams, a 47-year-old resident of Burnt Side Valley, St Andrew. Williams has been charged with the possession of a prohibited weapon and unauthorized possession of ammunition following the seizure of a firearm and ammunition in Top Road, Port Antonio, Portland, on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

According to reports, a snap operation was conducted by law enforcement officers in the Top Hill community at approximately 3:00 am. It was during this operation that they encountered the suspect at a wake, where his behavior raised their suspicion. The officers proceeded to apprehend and search the individual, leading to the discovery of a Browning 9mm pistol with a magazine containing one 9mm round of ammunition in his possession.

Subsequently, Julian Williams was placed under arrest and later charged after undergoing a question-and-answer session in the presence of his legal representative. He is presently held in custody pending his scheduled court appearance.
