Detectives assigned to the Denham Town Police Station in West Kingston confirmed that they have arrested and charged the suspect they had listed as a person of interest in the November 19, 2023, shooting on Rodney Street in Kingston.

Police named the suspect Kevardo King, also known as ‘Kinteet,’ 38, of a Nelson Street address in Kingston.
The police charged ‘Kinteet’ with shooting with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorized possession of ammunition.
The shooting happened on the night of Sunday, November 19.
According to the allegation against ‘Kinteet,’ at about 10:45 p.m. on the day in question, the complainant was walking along the roadway in the community when King and another man ambushed him. The men opened fire at the complainant, and he ran.
The men chased the complainant and continued to open fire at him, but he managed to escape unhurt.
The complainant ran to the Denham Town police station and made a report.
The police launched an investigation, which led to ‘Kinteet’s arrest on November 23, 2023.
The cops charged him after the complainant pointed him out on an identification parade on December 4, 2023.
‘Kinteet’ court appearance date is pending.

A man known in the streets as ‘Rasta’ was shot dead, and his girlfriend was injured in a brutal gun attack carried out by street thugs on Tuesday night, December 5, 2023, in Seaview Heights, Priory, St Ann.

The authorities identified the deceased as Karan Llewellyn, o/c ‘Rasta,’ 41, a security guard from Jack’s River, Oracabessa, St Mary.
According to the received information, at about 9 p.m., Llewellyn and his girlfriend were seated in a parked vehicle when a Toyota motor car pulled up and parked behind them.
Armed thugs exited the Toyota and opened fire on the car where ‘Rasta’ and his girlfriend were sitting, hitting them several times.
The hoodlums escaped in the Toyota motorcar.
The authorities rushed ‘Rasta’ and his girlfriend to the hospital, where they pronounced ‘Rasta’ dead and admitted his girlfriend for treatment.
The police have not established a motive for the shooting. The St Ann’s Bay police are conducting an investigation.

Authorities named the deceased Tajay Morgan, 22, of Shearer Drive in Kingston.
According to reports, at 12:45 pm on Wednesday, Morgan was standing on the roadway with a woman when two men on a motorcycle pulled up beside him and stopped.
Then, the pillion alighted from the motorcycle and brandished a gun. The gunman then opened fire at Morgan, hitting him several times in the upper body before escaping.
Morgan was rushed to the hospital by the police but was pronounced dead on arrival.
