Thugs killed a Pedal cyclist in a Hanover gun attack.

LUCEA, HANOVER, Jamaica – Police in Lucea on Monday evening, December 4, 2023, responded to a fatal shooting along the Barbary Hill Main Road, where unknown assailants gunned down a pedal cyclist.

The authorities named the deceased Kemoy Stephenson, o/c ‘Ziggy,’ aged 29, a laborer from Lincoln district in Moneague, St Ann, and Malcolm Heights in Hanover.

According to news reports, at about 5:20 p.m., Stephenson was riding a bicycle along the roadway in the community when armed men ambushed him.

The men opened fire at Stephenson, hitting him in the upper body before escaping on foot.

Authorities at the Noel Holmes Hospital pronounced Stephenson dead on arrival.

The police did not establish a motive for the attack. The investigation is ongoing.

The decomposing body of a man was found inside Clarendon’s home.

MOUNT PROVIDENCE, CLARENDON, Jamaica – Early Monday morning, on December 4, 2023, residents in the Mount Providence District stumbled upon the partially decomposed body of a fellow resident whom they hadn’t seen for more than a week.

The police identified the deceased as Dandy Pinnock, otherwise called ‘Dillan,’ aged 23, a late resident of Mount Providence.

According to reports, residents in the community started to worry after nobody reported seeing Pinnock alive since Saturday, November 25, around 9:30 am when he visited his cousin’s home in Mount Providence.

Concerned residents decided to check on him on Monday and went to his house to investigate. Upon arrival, they reportedly found his body in a state of decomposition and promptly summoned the police.

The authorities say Pinnock’s partially decomposed body was lying face down inside the rear section of the house. He was clad in brown shorts, shirtless, and was barefooted.

The authorities transported the body to the morgue via the May Pen Hospital pending a post-mortem.
