The Hunts Bay police are watching the Sherlock Crescent area of St Andrew following the execution-style slaying of a 56-year-old man on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

Dead is Douglas Stewarton, o/c ‘Rastaman’, age 56, of a 

Sherlock Crescent, Kingston 20 address.

According to reports, at about 7:20 pm, Stewartson was standing at his gate when a lone gunman approached and shot him several times before escaping in a waiting motor vehicle.

Stewarton was pronounced dead at the hospital.

A community resident who did not want their identity disclosed told The Gleaner that Stewarton’s death had triggered a sense of unease.

“War out fi start ya now because a same so dem kill his nephew two years ago. A long time him live around here. Me feel it to me heart. That man grow a lot of us,” the resident exclaimed.

The police believed the killing was gang-related.

Thugs slew family of three at their home in Waterloo, Spanish Town.

A family of three, including a 16-year-old student of Innswood High School in St Catherine, were found dead inside their home in the community of Waterloo in Spanish Town on Tuesday morning, September 5, 2023.

The police identified the dead as follows: 43-year-old Omar Wellington, Saron Francis-Wellington, 36, and 16-year-old Orlando Wellington. 

According to reports, residents of the Waterloo community stumbled upon the bodies of the deceased at about 5:30 a.m., on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, and alerted the police. 

The police arrived and found the bodies inside the dwelling.

The Major Investigation Division has launched a probe into the matter.
