The St Catherine police arrested and charged a woman after allegedly stabbing her partner and stealing an undetermined sum of money during a fight.

The police said they charged Jodian Williams, age 27, a gas pump attendant from Cheesefield district, St Catherine, with robbery with aggravation, malicious destruction of property, and unlawful wounding following the incident in the community on Saturday, Jul 29, 2023.

According to Gum Shoes attached to the Linstead Police Department, at about 3:40 pm, on the day in question, Williams and her common-law partner had a disagreement at home that turned into a fight.

The complainant walked away and went outside, and entered his vehicle. The accused followed him to the vehicle and allegedly inflicted several stab wounds to his body– and removed a sum of cash from the complainant’s pockets. 

Afterward, she destroyed his clothes and damaged sections of the vehicle.

The complainant drove to the police station and made a report. The police assisted him to the hospital, where the authorities treated him.

The police arrested and charged Williams. Her court date is pending.

Thugs firebombed a policeman’s car at the Porus Police Station

According to reporting, on Monday, July 31, 2023, at about 11:00 pm, thugs firebomb a motorcar belonging to a detective corporal at the Porus police station in Manchester.

No one got injured in the incident. But the police theorized that the perpetrators used a Molotov cocktail in the attack.

The police have yet to establish a motive for the attack.
