Detectives assigned to the St Catherine Police Department reported that a man known as Justin McGregor, o/c ‘AK Man’ wanted by the police, was among four people killed by unknown assailants in China Town, Central Village, St Catherine, on Friday morning, Jul 28, 2023.

The other deceased are Mark ‘Frassy T,’ Ellis, and two others the police identified as ‘Otto Man’ and ‘Mento.’

In the meantime, the police are asking Delcita ‘Three Ways’ Chin to turn himself over to the police. The police believe he can assist them with the investigation.

According to reporting, at about 3:30 am, Friday, July 28, 2023, residents in the China Town community reportedly heard several loud explosions. At about 8:00 am, they stumbled upon the four bodies. 

Head of the Police Corporate Communications Unit, SSP Lindsay, confirmed the quadruple murder. She stated the police theorized that the killings resulted from infighting by Jaggy Jaggy gang members, whose leader returned to the community after being released from jail last Wednesday, July 19, 2023. 

‘AK Man’ had reportedly taken over the gang’s leadership during the don’s absence.

The police are maintaining a strong presence in the community.

St Elizabeth detectives charged a man who allegedly shot at the police.

The Black River police reported that they had indicted a man who was part of a group that engaged the police in a shootout in the Spring Park District, St Elizabeth, on July 8, 2023.

The police charged Santino Hibbert, of Luana Housing Scheme in Black River, St Elizabeth, with unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon; and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

According to the Black River police, on July 8, 2023, at about 10:00 pm, a police team on patrol in the community heard explosions and responded. And they were confronted by thugs on a motorcycle. The men opened fire on the police. The police returned the fire. 

After the shooting, the police found Hibbert in bushes suffering from gunshot wounds.

The police seized one Taurus revolver with three cartridges.

Hibbert’s accomplice reportedly escaped. And the police took Hibbert to the hospital for treatment under police guard.

The police subsequently charged Hibbert. He is awaiting a court appearance date.
