A Clarendon Man allegedly buggered a women at machete-point in Clarendon.

CLARENDON, Jamaica – The Clarendon police reported that they have arrested and charged a man with buggery concerning an incident in Miller Gully on January 4, 2023.

The police charged Keron Pinnock, age 21, a laborer of Kellits, Clarendon, with buggery, assault at common law, and assault occasioning bodily harm. 

According to the police reports, on January 4, 2023, at about 3;30 am, the female complainant was walking home when Pinnock allegedly approached and pointed a machete at her. He then pulled her into nearby bushes, where he sexually assaulted her.

The woman reported the incident to the police. The police transported the complainant to the hospital, where the medical staff examined her. 

The police launched an investigation. The accused managed to evade the police until July 4, 2023, when the police arrested and charged him.

Pinnock is due to appear in the Clarendon Parish Court on Thursday, July 6, 2023.

Charles Jr. escapes injury in St Catherine crash

According to a new report, Labour and Social Security Minister Pearnel Charles Jr was involved in a two-vehicle collision in St Catherine on Wednesday afternoon, July 5, 2023.

The report stated that the collision occurred along a section of Highway 2000 near Bernard’s Lodge Bridge.

And as usual, for members of the Holness government, the Minister’s communication team declined to provide any details on the crash except to say the Minister did not sustain any injuries in the collision.

However, other team members traveling with the Minister sustained injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.
