ST CATHERINE, Jamaica – Police detectives are investigating the murder of a St Catherine man whom know or unknown assailants gunned down in Windsor Heights, Central Village, St Catherine, Wednesday morning, June 27, 2023.

The police identified the deceased as Ryan Romario Minto, o/c ‘Boysie,’ age 29.
According to unconfirmed reports, Minto was taken out by fellow gang members who had switched allegiance and had threatened to kill him.
The report stated that at about 7:30 am, Minto was at home with his mother and other siblings, washing clothes, when armed thugs approached him and opened fire, hitting him in the upper body and head. Then, the men escaped on foot, firing multiple shots as they left.
Citizens summoned the police to the scene. Upon arrival, the police found Minto’s body lying on its back at the side of the house. The police rushed the injured man to the hospital, where he died.
The Central Village police are investigating.
Police charged a 19-year-old man with a senior citizen’s murder in Trelawny.
On Tuesday, June 27, 2023, Trelawny Gum Shoes charged a 19-year-old man with murder after allegedly stabbing and killing a senior citizen in Stewart Town, Trelawny.

The police identified the deceased as Hewitt Clarke, age 77.
According to the investigators in the case, the incident occurred between Friday, June 23, 2023, and Saturday, June 24, 2023.
The police identified the alleged killer as Giovanni Robinson, a laborer of Barnstable in Stewart Town, Trelawny, who has since turned himself over to the police.
The police report stated that on June 24, 2023, at about 6:00 pm, residents in the community found Clark’s motionless body with multiple shop wounds slumped over in the front seat of his pickup truck parked in the front of his yard.
The residents summoned the police to the crime scene. Upon arrival, the police found Clarke’s lifeless body with multiple slashes to his hands, chin, and chest. The police rushed him to the hospital, where authorities pronounced him dead.
On Sunday, June 25, Robinson turned himself in to the police, admitting that he stabbed Clarke with a machete.
The police charged him with murder on Tuesday, June 27, following an interview.
His court date is pending.
