WESTMORELAND, Jamaica – According to the Grange Hill police, on Sunday night, April 30, 2023, three teens, including girls aged 14 and 15, were unfortunately shot and injured by unknown assailants in Grange Hill, Morgan’s Bridge, Westmoreland. 

The police said the victims were reportedly at home when they were shot. According to the police, the third victim is a 19-year-old male.

According to the police, on Sunday, May 30, 2023, at about 10:00 pm, the victims were at home when they heard a loud banging on the front door followed by loud explosions.

When the shooting ceased, the victims were seen suffering from gunshot wounds to the head, right hand, and right leg.

The police took the victims to the hospital, where the victims were treated and admitted in stable condition.

The police found 11 spent casings at the scene. The Grange Hill police are investigating.

Unknown thug shot and killed a taxi operator in Green Island, Hanover.

The Green Island police have reported that on Sunday night, April 30, a taxi operator was shot and killed by a lone thug in Green Island, Hanover. 

The police identified the deceased as 40-year-old Oswald Henry of the Caudwell district in Hanover.

According to the Green Island police, at about 9:30 pm, Sunday, April 30, 2023, Henry was sitting in his taxi near Green Island Square awaiting a passenger when two unknown assailants on a motorcycle approached him. One of the thugs brandished a gun and opened hitting multiple times in the upper body.

The police assisted the injured man to the hospital, where he died. 

The Green Island police are investigating.

Police investigate double murder at People’s Arcade in MoBay.

The Montego police are probing the fatal shooting of a man and a woman on Monday, May 1, 2023, inside People’s Arcade in Montego Bay, St James.

The police identified the deceased as Ricardo Green, age 30, a vendor of Glendevon, St James, and Vanessa Hopkins, age 24, of a St Ann address.

According to reports, at about 8:00 am, Monday, May 1, 2023, a resident went to a room occupied by Green inside the arcade and found the two dead bodies. Their hands and feet were reportedly bound. It is unclear whether the victims were a couple. 

The montego bay police are investigating.

Angry residents mount roadblocks in Eastern Portland.

On Monday, May 1, 2023, furious residents in the Fairy Hill community located in Eastern Portland rendered the main Road from Poinciana Park to Boston impassable. 

The residents said prolonged dust nuisance, the absence of piped water, and bad road conditions had spurred them to act.

The residents mounted the roadblocks from as early as 5 am. Monday morning, using whatever they could find-old refrigerators, downed trees, metal drums, and boulders.

The roadblocks brought vehicular traffic to a screeching halt. As a result, according to reports, some students attending Titchfield Tech in Port Antonio and Happy Grove High have to return home. 

The roadblocks have also left many employed citizens stranded. 

The police were called in to help clear the roadblocks.
