According to the police, a lone assailant gunned down a 22-year-old man in Sanguinetti, Clarendon, on Tuesday night, February 14, 2023.

The police identified the disease as Kurt Douglas of a White Shop district address in Sanguinetti, Clarendon.
The police report stated that at about 11:45 p.m., Tuesday, February 2023, Douglas and a friend were walking along Cohen Street when a lone gunman they were attacked them and opened fire. Douglas sustained several gunshot wounds. But the friend escaped unhurt.
The police took Douglas to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
According to the police, Douglas was one of two people killed in the parish on Tuesday, February 14, 2023.
Fruit vendor Keith McIntosh was gunned down in May Pen, the parish capital, at about 8:30 p.m.
As a result, a State of Public Emergency was declared in Clarendon today.
In the parish of St James, the police found a woman’s body with gunshot wounds to the upper body in a car along Phoenix Avenue.
The police identified her as Aretha Clarke.
The second incident occurred along Jimmy Cliff Boulevard, where unknown assailants shot and killed a man.
Police say at about 6:30 p.m., 41-year-old Albert Reid, a taxi operator, was traveling with a woman when shooters fired at him. Reid was killed during the attack while the woman was injured.
Still, in St James, the body of another man was found with a gunshot wound in a Retirement community shortly after 9 p.m.
He is yet to get identified.
