
The St Andrew North police have arrested and charged a man named ‘Demon’ with July 25, 2021, triple murder, which occurred on Red Hills Road, Kingston 19.
The accused man, whose government name is Damian Taylor, 26, laborer of Woodrow Street, Kingston 12, was charged by detectives assigned to the St North CIB. He is facing three counts of murder, wounding with intent, and illegally possessing firearms and ammunition.
According to the police report, on July 25, 2021, at about 7:50 pm, Taylor and two other men opened fire on a group of persons who were congregated along Red Hills Road. Taylor and company escaped on foot.
After the shooting, three people died from gunshot wounds they received in the attack. Among the dead were Rushane White, 27, otherwise called ‘Barber,’ Kemonie White, 29, otherwise called ‘Shella,’ both of Park Lane, and 27-year-old Alex Henry, otherwise named ‘Pelpa,’ a laborer of Red Hills Road, died from gunshot wounds they received in the attack.Chef charged with November 3, 2022, James Street murder.
On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, the police charged Javaughn Brown, 23-year-old chef of Text Lane, Kingston, with the use of a prohibited weapon to commit murder and possession of a prohibited weapon and ammunition. The deceased was identified as Daniel Smith. According to the police, on November 3, 2022, Smith was among a group of citizens standing on the roadway on James Street, Kingston, when Brown approached him armed with a handgun and fired multiple shots. The injured Smith was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a doctor.
On Tuesday, February 7, 2023, the police arrested and charged brown after questioning him in the presence of his attorney. His court date is pending.
