The Dancehall community breathe a sigh of relief when Grace Hamilton o/c Spice, Queen of Dancehall, broke her silence about her illness in a written Instagram post.
Spice, the Queen of Dancehall, told her ‘Besties’ and the world that she suffered a ruptured hernia and her body developed sepsis.
She thanked Jesus for saving her life. And she assured her Besties that she was in a better place to update them properly about her current health situation.
She said, “Unfortunately, I suffered a damaged hernia a few days ago that sent my body into sepsis; as a result, I was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery.”
She reminded her Besties of the reason she had taken time off from social media. “As you know, I’ve been off social media for a while to rest mentally. But little did I know that during my medical scare, it was all over social media that I had a heart attack, I was in a coma, and some even said I had died. But as you can see, none of that was true. However, I’m still recovering from the ruptured hernia.”
She thanked everybody for their prayers and concerns. And she highlighted the prayer warriors who prayed diligently for her recovery. Then she urged her fans to take great care of themselves. And reminded them to eat healthy, love, live, and laugh like it’s their last day. I LOVE YOU ALL SO MUCH.
Spice ended with an apology to all event promoters who have confirmed bookings. Unfortunately, the artist will not be able to fulfill her commitments for the rest of the year. She specifically mentioned Grand Cayman, where she is scheduled to appear on November 25, 2022.
I am sure the Besties were overjoyed to know that none of the rumors were true. And their heroine is recovering nicely from her health scare. After all, Spice always appears healthy, so it was shocking to many when they learned she had had a heart attack.
