Dancehall artiste Kevaun Douglas O/C Skeng had a court hearing in the St Andrew parish court on Monday. He was there to answer a disorderly conduct charge stemming from an altercation with the police at the Norman Manley International Airport in May 2022.
The police report stated that the artiste got into an altercation with officials at the Airport at about 1:00 pm May 24, 2022, during which he was allegedly pepper sprayed by the police. He was at the Airport to board a flight en route to Trinidad, where he was supposed to headline an event called the Revival Return Of Dancehall on May 28, 2022.
He was later arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. He is on $50,000 bail.
Christopher Towsend, the attorney representing the Dancehall sensation, said the case has been postponed until March 9, 2023. Because there are some disagreements over footage that was made of the incident. The arresting officer showed up in court with the edited version. Still, he, Christopher Townsend, wants to see the raw footage.
