ICE arrested Antonio Mitchell, a Jamaican man, for allegedly voting illegally in U.S. elections from 2000 to 2022. Mitchell allegedly made false statements on his naturalization application, claiming he never voted or registered to vote. Federal law prohibits noncitizens from voting in federal elections, and knowingly providing false statements can lead to criminal penalties. In a separate incident, a 73-year-old man was shot dead in Clarendon, Jamaica, during a gun attack, while two others were injured. As of October 31, Clarendon has recorded 29 civilian deaths this year.
