A Clarendon love triangle left one dead and one hospitalized.

On Sunday, November 19, 2023, an enraged gunman shot and killed a 31-year-old man and seriously injured his girlfriend in a possible love triangle in Sandy Bay, Clarendon.

The police identified the suspected shooter as an ex-boyfriend of the woman. He was subsequently held by the police and placed in custody.

The authorities identified the deceased man as Hannon George Jackson, a transport inspector from New Green, Manchester.

According to a police report, at about 8:10 p.m., the deceased parked his grey Toyota Probox motor car near the intersection of the Sandy Bay main road and Rose Hall Road.

A blue Toyota Mark X and a white Toyota Axio motor car drove up and stopped behind Jackson’s vehicle.

A man exited the Axio with a handgun and opened fire, hitting Jackson and his girlfriend. Jackson reportedly received gunshot wounds to his upper body and succumbed to his injuries.

The woman also reportedly received gunshot wounds to her upper body and was taken to the hospital, where the authorities admitted her in serious condition.

The police subsequently apprehended the suspect after they caught him lurking around the hospital where the woman was admitted.

Detectives theorize that the suspect trailed Jackson and the woman and subsequently attacked them.

The investigation is ongoing.

Thieves robbed senior citizens and UK residents in a home invasion.

ST JAMES, Jamaica— Two senior citizens and a visiting UK resident were among four people who were held up and robbed when thieves broke into their dwelling in Lethe, St James, on Sunday morning, November 19, 2023.

The police said at least five robbers made off with cash and several other items following the early morning break-in.

The stolen items included bank cards, mobile phones, US$600, J$5,000, a laptop, a cordless drill, a television, and jewelry.

According to reports, at about 5:10 a.m., the four individuals were at the house when five men and a woman, wearing masks and gloves, broke into the house.

The police stated that one of the men had a gun, another had a knife, and the other robbers were armed with sticks.

The thieves reportedly broke the glass of the front door and opened the lock. They entered the house, held up the residents, and robbed them before fleeing in a waiting motorcar.

The police are currently investigating the incident.
