SAVANNA-LA-MAR, WESTMORELAND, Jamaica–Thugs gunned down a 41-year-old Jerk chicken vendor at his stall along the Llandilo Main Road in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, during an armed robbery on Sunday morning, November 12, 2023.

The authorities identified the victim as Errol Mc Donald, o/c ‘Jerky,’ age 41.
A report from the police stated that at about 12:30 a.m., McDonald and a teenage boy were at his jerk stand when a motorcycle with two men aboard pulled up at the stall.
The pillion alighted and pointed a firearm at the vendor and the teen boy, robbing them of two cell phones and an undetermined sum of cash.
The gunman then opened fire on McDonald, hitting him in the head before escaping.
The police responded and found McDonald lying in a pool of blood. They transported him to the hospital, where the medical staff pronounced him dead.
The police did not establish a motive for the shooting. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

FOUR PATHS, CLARENDON, Jamaica–Police in Clarendon responded to Comfort District in Four Paths on Sunday morning, November 12, 2023, where armed thugs shot and killed a female vendor during a robbery.
The police identified the deceased as Marie Sushana Smith Martin, o/c ‘Brownie,’ a 42-year-old vendor of Beckford Crescent, Sandy Bay in Clarendon.
According to the report, at about 10:15 a.m., Martin and another woman traveled along Comfort main road in a Silver AD Wagon motor vehicle, selling household items and slippers. A man stopped them along a section of the roadway and ordered a pair of slippers.
The women exited the vehicle, and as they talked to the potential customer, a man armed with a gun appeared.
The men allegedly proceeded to rob the women of their cellphones and an undetermined sum of cash.
Martin reportedly pulled out a machete and attempted to disarm the gunman, who shot her in the head.
The shooter reportedly drove off with Martin’s motorcar while his accomplice ran off into the bushes.
The police responded and found Martin’s body beside a machete with multiple gunshot wounds.
The police found Martin’s Silver AD wagon motor car abandoned along the Rhymesbury main road.
The other woman escaped unhurt.
The police are currently investigating the incident.
