Security guard wounded during attack on Atlas courier vehicle in Manchester.

According to reporting, a security guard is in the hospital with bullet wounds after gunmen attacked a vehicle belonging to Atlas Security Company in New Forest, Manchester, on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

The incident reportedly happened sometime after 6 p.m. Thursday.

Reports are that the security guards went to collect cash from various business establishments– and after collecting a sum of money from a supermarket in New Forest, gunmen opened fire on the unit.

The gunmen shot one of the guards in the head while the other escaped unhurt.

The gunmen sped away. But it is still being determined if they got the cash.

Police charged two St. Thomas suspects with lottery scamming.

On Thursday, September 28, 2023, police arrested and charged two suspects in St. Thomas during a pre-dawn operation by the Lottery Scam Task Force in Ginger Hall, Bath, St Thomas.

The police charged Jermaine Dixon, o/c ‘Lee Chin’, age 28, and Sean Mc Dowell, o/c ‘Subaru,’ age 33, both of Ginger Hall, with possession of identity information. 

The police arrested a third man, whose identity they withheld pending further investigation. 

According to the police report, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, law enforcement officers conducted a targeted pre-dawn operation in the Ginger Hill community between 4 a.m. and 9 a.m.

The police searched three premises. During the search, they found identity information of people living abroad on laptops and cell phones belonging to McDowell and Dixon.

The police also seized three high-end vehicles. 

The court appearance date for the suspects is pending.

Police arrested a suspect following a firearm and ammo seizure in St. Thomas.

ST THOMAS, Jamaica – On Friday, September 29, the police arrested a suspect following a firearm and ammunition seizure during a raid at a premises in Jane Ash Corner, Duckenfield district, St Thomas. 

The Operations officer for the parish, Oniel Thompson, said the incident occurred at about 6 a.m.

The police recovered one .45 semiautomatic Pistol fitted with a magazine containing 6 .45 cartridges.

The police also recovered two 12 gauge cartridges.

The police withheld the identity pending further investigations.

Police shot and killed a suspect during an alleged shootout in Greenwich. 

KINGSTON, Jamaica – The police shot and killed an unidentified gunman during a shootout in Greenwich Town Thursday morning, September 28, 2023.

According to the police, the incident occurred at about 9:00 a.m. along East Avenue and Eighth Street in the community.

The police have yet to ID the victim.
