ST ANDREW, Jamaica – Detectives are investigating a bizarre incident they theorized as a possible love triangle following the fatal shooting of a man on Belvedere Road in Red Hills, St Andrew, on Monday, August 28, 2023.
The Police identified the deceased as Ishmael Seymour, age 52, a late resident of East Avenue in Greenwich Farm, Kingston 13.
According to media reports, investigators deemed the ex-lover of the deceased man’s girlfriend a suspect in the killing.
At about 1 p.m., on Monday, August 28, 2023, the cheating 27-year-old girlfriend was reportedly at home with her ex-boyfriend when Seymour, the sugar daddy, showed up and tried to enter the apartment.
The Police said the woman reportedly opened a side door and went outside to talk to Seymour. And an argument developed between them. Then, the two people got into a fight.
The woman ran to the back of the house, and shortly after, she heard four loud explosions.
She reportedly cried for help, and neighbors accompanied her back to the house, where she saw the deceased lying in a pool of blood on his back in an unfinished section of the house.
Residents alerted the Police. Upon arrival, they found Seymour with multiple gunshot wounds to his face and upper body. He was wearing a black gun holster to the front of his waistband.
The Police believed Seymour was a licensed firearm holder.
The Police did not recover a gun, and the ex-boyfriend was missing.
