The man suspected of the brutal killing of a district constable earlier in February 2023 in York district, Seafort, St Thomas, was shot and killed in a confrontation with law enforcement officers on Monday evening, February 20, 2023.
The police identified him as 24-year-old Dwayne Logan, o/c Loothie. He was a resident of Navarre Lane, St Thomas.
According to the St Thomas police, Logan was wanted for the murder of 37-year-old District Constable Mark Forsythe. Forsythe was attached to the Trinityville police station. The police noted that Logan was also wanted for multiple murders and shootings in Seaforth.
The police have not yet released details of the incident. But the officer in charge of the St Thomas police division, Allison Byfield, confirmed that Logan was taken out when he challenged Law enforcement officers in a shoot-out.
