According to DancehallMag, a little-known social media site, CertifiedStreams curated a list of the ten most streamed Dancehall artists in Jamaica. And based on their findings, Skeng is the most streamed Dancehall artist in Jamaica.

The individual behind CertifiedStreams is Lloyd Laing, music director at 105 FM. He said the top ten artists have been selected from a pool of 572 industry-recognized Jamaican Dancehall artists. He said he loves Dancehall and thinks the artists on the list have put in the work. He stated that some artists are not known to some people, but they have been doing the work.
Laing told DancehallMag that the results were not based on peer review. Or songs the streets love and believe are running Dancehall. Instead, over the past ten months, CertifiedStreams, have monitored some twenty-two streaming platforms, twelve hundred radio stations, four social media platforms, and conducted over five hundred online surveys to compile the top ten list.
Laing also said CertifiedStreams will release the top 40 list in its Year In Review report in December.
Laing explained that he arrived at the ranking using Cross Performance Platform (C.P.P.) rankings that show where each artist ranks in Jamaica in their particular genre. However, he hastened to point out that a global chart ranks the artists on a broader scale, and the result would be different than CertifiedStreams.
Among Skeng’s most streamed in 2o22, Laing listed the following songs

- Heaven Passport with Intence
- Talibhan with Stalk Ashley

Laing highlighted Valiant, one of the little-known artists on the list that is creating waves in the Dancehall space. He said everybody is surprised that Valiant is doing so well. But, according to Laing, Valiant has been making music for a while. He further stated that Valiant captured the number five spot on YouTube for the most streamed Jamaican artist.
